The base is beside of Zhongchuan Airport, Lanzhou, and at the south of Zhongchuan Peony Tree and Peony Garden. It covers an area of 250 mu( 1 mu is about 0.1647 acre). Led by two experts with twenty years gardening experience for Dahlia, the base introduces and grows good varieties from Lanzhou , Lintao, Linxia, Longxi and Tianshui in Gansu Province , and also imports fine ones from other countries to hybridize. Because of 1970 meters altitude, little rainfall, sufficient sunlight, cool climate in this area, the Dahlia cultivated here are with short trunk, big flower and rich color, but without concealed flowers, thus could

make spectacular view.  Currently there are 120 varieties, and they are especially suitable to be planted in lean soil and slight salina, and are very popular in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia , Ningxia , Shanxi , Hebei and Northeast China .  Annual sales volume reaches 150 thousand frustum. A lot of clients come to visit or make orders here in fall.
